(10/20/09) Clearwater, FL- The Lady Cougars hosted regional rival the Southeastern Fire on Tuesday. This was the first home game played on the Clearwater Christian College campus and it looked to be a great match up with two very skilled teams.

The Cougars played great defense keeping momentum and possession for most of the first half. In the 21st minute Cougarís sophomore forward Lora Vaughn scored the first goal of the game on a header off of a corner kick. This gave CCC a 1-0 lead and the opportunity to hold Southeastern with their defense. The Flames , however, took advantage of a handball by the Lady Cougars in the 42nd minute and converted their penalty kick, to tie the score at 1 heading into the half.

Since this was the Lady Cougars last home game of the season, the seniors on the team were recognized.
