Cougars Fall to Bruins

For the first time ever, Clearwater Christian College Basketball took the floor against the Bruins of Bob Jones University. In a much-anticipated matchup, the Lady Cougars were looking to put together their first back-to-back wins of the season against a Bruins team coming off of a last-second loss.

From the start, things did not go Clearwater's way. On their first possession, the Bruins were able to take 3 attempts at the basket as they began their complete domination of the glass. Three minutes into the game, Grace Thomas went down with an injury. And in the first half, the Lady Cougars shot a dismal 16.1% from the field. All of that led to the Lady Cougars trailing 13-32 at the half.

Unfortunately, the second half would not get much better as the Cougars were still unable to find their shots. The Bruins repeatedly made collected offensive rebound after offensive rebound to extend their lead.

At the end of the game, the Cougars trailed in every statistical category as they were outrebounded 33-63 and outscored 33-62.

The loss dropped the Cougars to 3-14 on the season.
