Annual Businessman’s Mixer Recharges Corporate Batteries

Last month, the Clearwater Christian College Alumni Association held their annual Businessman’s Mixer at the campus coffee shop, The Cove. With over 20 people in attendance, the event proved to be a friendly gathering of fellow alumni and employees of Tampa Bay companies. Offering local CCC graduates chances to reconnect with fellow alumni, the annual Businessman’s Mixer also provides a much-needed “recharge” of the corporate battery through godly fellowship and encouragement.

The event was hosted by CCC’s Annual Fund Director, Dan Wareing (‘01). After a short introduction, Andrew Stenberg (‘05) gave an informal presentation about working for Federated Insurance in which he detailed his ten-month interview process followed by Alan Tripp (‘04) who spoke on the importance of networking and his passion for law and assisting those injured.

Working in the midst of the corporate world, attendees appreciated the chance to be in a group of Christian businessmen and women. Dan Wareing said, “I was encouraged by the great interaction between alumni. The venue allowed the time to be more intimate, as we all sat around and introduced ourselves during the structured time of the evening. I enjoyed seeing folks from such different walks of life meet for the first time or reconnect with the intent on building future friendships and contacts.”
