Hale Enters Hall of Fame

Senior Tori Hale was inducted into the Clearwater Christian College Hall of Fame during the spring athletic chapel held on campus Thursday, April 24. This recognition is reserved for graduating senior athletes who achieved All-American status during their tenure at the college, possess an outstanding Christian testimony, receive the nomination of their coach, and are approved by the college administration.

Tori’s athletic contributions were outstanding. She transferred into CCC in the middle of her sophomore year and made an immediate impact. She was a two-time NSCAA/NCCAA All-American in soccer, being named the National Player of the year in both 2012 and 2013. In 2012, she led her team to their first-ever NCCAA Division II national title, being named the tournament MVP. During her senior year, Tori was selected for the Michelle Akers Charter Award for soccer, the highest honor for a NCCAA II soccer player. While dominating on the soccer field, Tori was also an outstanding basketball player for the Lady Cougars being named as an NCCAA second team All American in both 2013 and 2014.

Tori’s academic prowess is also noteworthy. In the summer of 2012, Tori participated in a scientific internship through the SPARK program at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. She will graduate next week with her class with a degree in Biology. She has already been accepted and plans to attend the Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine in the fall of 2014.

But above all, Tori has displayed the characteristic of a true servant-leader. During the induction ceremony, newly appointed Athletic Director Dr. Vickie Denny remarked publically, as she presented Tori with her individual plaque, that “Clearwater athletes have been forever impacted by this servant leader. Beyond her many accomplishments on the field, court and classroom is her intense desire to use her time and talent for God.

Tori is the daughter of Gregory and Verna Hale and resides in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida. Her long range goal is to become a medical missionary. While she will be missed greatly on our college campus, we are excited to see how the Lord will use this humble student-athlete in the years to come. Congratulations Tori Hale, our most recent Hall of Fame member.
