Sawyer Memorial Service

The family of "Aunt Bea" Sawyer cordially invites you to attend a memorial and remembrance service at Clearwater Christian College on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. The service will be held on campus in the Gospel Center Memorial Chapel located in Dambach Hall.

Aunt Bea went home to be with the Lord at age 85 on January 4, 2012. Having spent over 22 years as a member of the Clearwater Christian College staff, she is a permanent member of our family. She was head of Food Services for over 15 years and the Bookstore Manager for seven, but among her many contributions to CCC, she was best known for her famous spaghetti dinners and constant prayer breaks. She encouraged faithfulness in church attendance, mission work to the lost, and dedication to pursuing excellence in life and education.

Being house-bound for the last several years had not stopped her from living an active Christian life through her phone and prayer ministry. In a 2011 interview, “Aunt” Bea said, “I spend my days on the phone counseling or evangelizing. I have a prayer list that is over 200 people long. I had to switch to praying for 100 people a day because it was too long! My mission is to lift people up. I send devotional books and Daily Breads daily to friends and loved ones. I’ve got to be going for the Lord.” She is an inspiration to us all to remain in constant, faithful prayer.

“Stay in the Word every day. If we all do that, we’ve got it made. If we’re not moving forward, we’re moving backward.” –Aunt Bea Sawyer, 1927-2013
