Education Recruiters Come to CCC

On February 9-10, Clearwater Christian College hosted its annual Teacher Recruitment Conference in the college gymnasium. Administrators from Christian schools throughout the country came to campus to forge relationships with education majors that they hope will lead to a mutually rewarding ministry-employment opportunity with their schools. All education majors are required to participate, allowing even the newest members of our program to hone interview skills by the time graduation comes around. The Teacher Recruitment Conference is one way that Clearwater Christian College helps our students complete the loop in their educational process. The conference is also open to alumni and other individuals from the community who contact the college in advance.

From an educator’s standpoint, Hillsborough Baptist School in Seffner, Florida, commented “We hired Brittni Gordon last year. We met her through the teacher recruitment [conference]. Brittni has been a great asset to our school.

She is eager to do whatever is asked of her, and she ALWAYS goes above and beyond what is required. Her relationship with Christ is shown in the way that she mentors our students. Working with us is not just a job to her. She has truly embodied the vision of our ideal faculty member. She works excellently alongside our other faculty members. She exhibits the academic talents of a fully qualified teacher. I could not ask for a more well-rounded ministry worker. I can only hope to find more teachers with her philosophy and heart here at CCC.”

The dates for next year’s conference will be finalized in the weeks to come. Administrators who are still looking for faculty members for the 2012-13 school year may contact Lisa Dollenmayer in our Guidance Office for assistance.
