Former division chairmen Dr. Dwight McEntire and Dr. Robert Delnay will continue to teach part-time. Dr. Duncan joined the CCC faculty in 1991 and most recently earned his doctorate in 2010 from Argosy University in business administration. With a bachelor of science from York University in Toronto, Canada, and an MBA from York University’s School of Business, Dr. Duncan is well qualified to lead the second largest academic division on campus. Dr. Duncan said, “I think our goal at CCC is to pour ourselves into students so that when they graduate, they are a good representative of what we stand for as a college and are prepared to excel in whatever ministerial or professional field they enter.”

In addition to his years as a professor at CCC, Dr. Duncan taught at the University of Waterloo and served as the CFO for the Canadian Industrial Innovation Center, an organization that helped commercialize technology from the University of Waterloo. Since moving to Florida to take his place on the CCC faculty in 1991, Dr. Duncan has become a well-known speaker at numerous symposiums, including the Tampa Bay CPA Group.

Dr. Burggraff joined the CCC faculty in 2008 and completed his doctorate in 2011 from McMaster Divinity School in Hamilton, Ontario. A 1998 graduate of Maranatha Baptist Bible College, he went on to complete a master of divinity and master of theology at Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary. Teaching at CCC has been his first higher education post.

“I see this [promotion] as an opportunity to interact with the other Bible faculty members to set the Biblical and spiritual agenda for the education of CCC students,” said Dr. Burggraff. “It is incumbent upon us as a Bible faculty to not only make sure that the students who attend CCC know facts and information about the Bible, but more importantly can see how the Bible challenges us to live out what God has revealed in His word. Students need to know how they are to live as Christ-followers within this present culture and the specific field that they plan to pursue in the future.”

Dr. Mary Draper said, “I am very excited regarding the new division chair, Drs. Duncan and Burggraff, who will bring a fresh new look at their divisions’ program. They will provide the leadership to keep their majors on the cutting edge as well as continuing the high spiritual, academic, and professional standards. They have my confidence and that of the faculty in their divisions.”
