Let us remember that, as much has been given us, much will be expected from us, and that true homage comes from the heart as well as from the lips, and shows itself in deeds. ~Theodore Roosevelt A truly American holiday, Thanksgiving stands as a yearly testament to the goodness of our Heavenly Father. As the CCC family pauses to remember His bountiful blessings from the past year, we encourage students to catch up on projects and prepare for the close of the Fall semester. During this holiday, many students travel home to visit their families, while others bring friends home to enjoy fellowship outside of the college environment. Thanksgiving Break begins after each student's last class on Friday, November 16, 2012. Airline flights or other methods of transportation should be scheduled with this in mind. A double absence policy is in effect for November 15-16, 2012 and November 26-28, 2012 to assure reasonable class sizes before and after the break. Resident students are asked to inform the office of their departure and destination plans prior to leaving campus. The residence halls will be officially closed to students at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012. Students are not permitted to stay in the residence halls over the break unless they are employed by the institution during this period. The College will close administrative offices on November 21-23, 2012 to allow staff to join their families during this time. Resident students are required to return to the residence halls no later than 10:30 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012. Classes will resume on Monday evening, November 26, 2012. |
