Spring Play: The Taming of the Shrew

The Taming of the Shrew, a comedy by William Shakespeare is the story of Katharina,
the temperamental sister of Bianca, the most eligible bachelorette in Padua. When two young
men vie for Bianca's heart and hand, her rich, merchant parent announces that Katharina must
first find a husband. In this comedy, attendees will watch as Petruchio, an eligible bachelor,
not only convinces Katharina to marry him, but also begins the process of "taming" her into an
obedient, loving wife using reverse psychology. Can Katharina's fiery temper be tamed? To find
out, don't miss this witty Shakespearean comedy!

The Taming of the Shrew will be presented March 13-16, 2013, in the Clearwater Christian College
gymnasium. Wednesday's matinee performance begins at 10:00 a.m. and Thursday, Friday, and
Saturday's performances begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 (general admission) and $10 (seniors,
