![]() Spring Break
Spring Break is a time for students to pause from the 'dark days of winter', to get a break from their studies, and to celebrate the Resurrection with
friends and family. It is also a good time for students to catch up on projects before the semester closes. Students typically use this time to travel,
participate in community service or mission projects, and visit friends and family.
Spring Break begins after the student's last class on Friday, March 30. A double absence policy is in effect for March 29-30 and April 10-11 to assure reasonable class sizes before and after the break. Resident students are asked to inform the student services office of their departure and destination plans prior to leaving campus. Students needing assistance in this area should contact the dean of students. The residence halls will be officially closed at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, for any students with late airline reservations. Students are not permitted to stay in the residence halls over the break unless they are employed by the institution during this period or gained special permission from the student life office. Resident students should return to the residence halls on Monday, April 9 no earlier than 8:30 a.m. and by the 10:30 p.m. deadline. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 10 at 7:35 a.m. Students who would typically meet for Monday evening classes on April 9 will meet on Tuesday evening April 10 for this week only. |
