The Clearwater Christian College Cantorum, CCC's 16-voice premier choral ensemble, will be performing with the USF Orchestra, Richard Zielinski Singers,
USF Chamber Singers, and the St. Petersburg College Choir in an amazing tribute to Del Tredici's 2005 work, Paul Revere's Ride. David Del Tredici, once a
composition faculty member at The Julliard School, composed Paul Revere's Ride in double homage to the renowned quest that began the American Revolution
and the attacks upon the World Trade Center in New York City.
The famous poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow is the retelling of the night when Paul Revere warned of the British invasion and set the American Revolution in motion. Del Tredici's music captures the vibrancy of the ride, using musical stylings that echo the feelings and emotions of a nation on the brink of greatness. The CCC Cantorum singers include: Stephen DeWalt, pianist, Wesley Andrews, Ahna Boley, Alisha Boley, Kate Bournival, Robbie Edwards, Blake Fox, Mackenzie Gotcher, Luke Harding, Nathan Perrie, Elizabeth Perry, Joshua Quinn, Carla Royall, Bryana Wescott, Naomi Williams, and Anna Wilson. The Cantorum is under the direction of Dr. Pattye Casarow. Join the CCC Cantorum as they make their second appearance alongside of Tampa Bay's finest musicians and soloists. The concert will be a part of the USF HELPS Festival on Monday, February 16 in the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Ferguson Hall at 8:00 p.m. Advance tickets are available for $12 adults/$8 students and seniors by contacting the TBPAC Box Office at 813-229-7827. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $15 adults/$10 students and seniors. |
