Dr. John Whitcomb to Speak at CCC

Clearwater Christian College is pleased to announce that Dr. John C. Whitcomb, a respected theologian and Bible scholar, will speak at Clearwater Christian College on January 31 and February 1. Dr. Whitcomb has been a professor of Old Testament and theology for more than 50 years, and is widely recognized as a leading Biblical scholar. He taught at Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, IN, from 1951-1990, and gained much recognition for his work on The Genesis Flood, which he co-authored with Dr. Henry Morris in 1961. This book has been credited as one of the major catalysts for the modern Biblical creationism movement.

Among Dr. Whitcomb's other published works are The Early Earth, The World That Perished and commentaries on the books of Esther and Daniel. Additionally, he has authored six comprehensive Bible charts, numerous multi-media slides, and countless Biblical and theological articles.

Dr. Whitcomb's life and ministry may be summed up in this quotation: "I want to be in the full-time business of finding out what God says and telling as many people as I can." In addition to his opportunities to speak in chapel each morning at 9:00 a.m., Dr. Whitcomb will address students in informal sessions scheduled through the Division of Science.
