Dates and Times of Student Arrival

The following arrival information provides a chronological outline of when specific student groups are expected to arrive on campus for student orientation and registration activities for the 2010 fall semester. It does not serve as an exhaustive schedule of required or optional activities. A current schedule of these activities is provided in the Arrival Manual and an updated copy of activities will be given to students upon arrival.

Tuesday, August 10 - NEW COMMUTER STUDENTS

All new commuting students should check in from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. English and Math Placement Test(s) will be given from 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. for students required to take these tests. A New Student Orientation Meeting is required from 4:00 p.m. - 8 p.m. with dinner included.

Thursday, August 12 - STUDENT ATHLETES

All students trying out for men's or women's soccer, volleyball, or golf are required to arrive early for tryouts.

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.	Resident student check-in
5:00 p.m.	Athlete/Parents/Coaches Dinner (Dining Hall)
6:00 p.m.	Athlete Orientation Meeting (Attendance is required of all athletes and strongly recommended for parents of all new athletes)

Sunday, August 15 - S.L.A.M. TEAM - Resident Assistants and Discipleship Leaders

Resident Assistants and Discipleship Leaders of this year’s Student Leaders and Mentors (SLAM) arrive on campus to prepare for this year’s ministry. Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Arrival deadline: 8:00 p.m. Schedule of activities will be given to you at check-in.

Friday, August 20 - S.L.A.M. TEAM - Non-RA/DL members

Select leaders from Greeks and class officers who serve on this year’s SLAM team arrive on campus to prepare for this year’s ministry. Check-in time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Arrival deadline: 4:00 p.m. Schedule of activities will be given to you at check-in.

Saturday, August 21 - NEW RESIDENT STUDENTS

Check-in for all new resident students is scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Check-in is held in Steele 111. New Student Orientation officially begins at 7:00 p.m. in the College gymnasium. Check the Orientation and Registration Schedule for all additional required and optional activities for new students and their parents.

Tuesday, August 24 - RETURNING RESIDENCE HALL STUDENTS

All other returning students who did not arrive earlier to participate in intercollegiate tryouts or for student leadership responsibilities will arrive on campus for the fall semester. Check-in time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Arrival deadline: 4:00 p.m. There is a required meeting for ALL RESIDENT STUDENTS at 10:30 p.m.

Wednesday, August 25 - RETURNING COMMUTING STUDENTS

All returning commuting students will arrive on campus to complete registration requirements and to participate in required orientation session. There is a required meeting for ALL COMMUTING STUDENTS at 12:00 noon.

Thursday, August 26 - FIRST DAY OF CLASSES
