Christian Life Conference Will Open Fall Semester

Clearwater Christian College is pleased to announce the 2009 Christian Life Conference scheduled for September 1-3. The three-day conference will feature Pastor Bob Bixby of Morning Star Baptist Church in Rockford, Illinois.

Pastor Bixby accepted the pastorate at Morning Star Baptist Church in 2002. Prior to his acceptance, he and his wife Jennie ministered for ten years in France and Belgium. Both Bob and Jennie grew up in full-time Christian service; this foundation only added to their desire to serve the Lord on foreign and local fields.

According to the spiritual formation office, "The purpose of this conference is to start out the semester dealing with spiritual character; from the origination of a personal walk with God (salvation) to the consistency of the Christian walk. There is a vast difference between professing Christ and living as a Christian. This Conference is a concentrated time during Chapel and evening sessions to focus on establishing or renewing a personal, ongoing walk with God, and how to live that life as independent, responsible adults."

Please join us in prayer as the entire CCC student body, faculty, staff, and administration attend this life-changing, character-enriching Christian Life Conference. Services will be held during the normal chapel period at 9:00 a.m. and Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
