| | Originally born in Monterrey, Mexico, sophomore Areli moved to Lakeland, Florida, with her family when she was 12 years old. She is an elementary education major who wants to eventually help start a Christian school in her home church, and teach English to those in her church that do not know the language. more...
Areli says, "I chose CCC because of the family atmosphere, the Christian testimony I had heard from my youth pastor, and the financial support that I was able to receive, because my family could not afford to pay college tuition for two members of our family."
Areli is blessed to receive help from five different grant and scholarship programs, as well as working in the campus food service.
