Hollenbach Awarded Bailey Scholarship


Dexter Hollenbach, a senior at Clearwater Christian College, was selected to receive the prestigious Bailey Family Scholarship in the amount of $5,000. After becoming aware of the opportunity, Dexter submitted to the foundation a 300-word essay describing how he would use the scholarship money. In his essay, Dexter explained that his goal in life is “to impact others, ultimately bringing glory to Christ.”

“I hope to give all I can to the people I come in contact with because at the end of the day, changing lives is what really matters,” he said. Dexter will graduate in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science. According to the Bailey Family Scholarship website, the primary mission of the foundation is to expand the availability and enhance the quality of post secondary education. After graduation, he plans to act upon the Bailey Family mission and apply to graduate school with the hopes of becoming a physical therapist.
