Elisabeth Ennis Named NCCAA Player of the Week


Elisabeth Ennis of Fayetteville, NC was selected Student Athlete of the Week by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). Ennis, a senior setter for Clearwater Christian College, was also named to the All Tournament Team at the SFCC Volleyball Tournament held October 1-2 in Avon Park, FL. She led her team with 11 assists, served 94% with 10 aces, and averaged 3.5 digs, 1 block, and 1 kill per set. In one game, Ennis served six straight points, changing the momentum of the game and match to CCC’s favor.

Coach Vickie Denny states "Our success this season centers around Liz and her ability to run our offense. She is quick, and has a great touch on the ball. This is only her second year setting, but she has done a great job for us since she switched to that position in the middle of last season."

Teams playing in the SFCC Tournament include host South Florida Community College in Avon Park, FL; Clearwater Christian College in Clearwater, FL; Indian River State College in Port St. Lucie, FL; Palm Beach Community College in Lake Worth, FL; and Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, FL. Ennis is the daughter of Mike and Jeanne Ennis and a 2007 graduate of Village Christian Academy in Fayetteville.
