Two Cougars Earn Scholar Athlete Title

Senior pitcher Mark Rawsthorne and junior first and third baseman Luke Harding were awarded the Scholar Athlete title by the National Christian College Athletic Association for their performances on the baseball field during the 2009-2010 season. In order to achieve this recognition, athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.

Coach Raul Hernandez said, “Luke is a spiritual and academic leader. He sets the example for the rest of the team to follow. Luke has worked hard this year to set himself apart in all aspects of his college experience. Mark has earned this award through his determination and hard work. He took on a huge class load to graduate in 2010.”
