Bubbles for the Banquet

On Saturday, April 17, the Junior Class hosted a car wash to raise money for the Junior/Senior Banquet and enjoyed a day full of suds and surprises. The ten students that showed up washed more than twenty Florida-dirty automobiles, including a car being towed by a U-Haul! Complete with an unexpected visit from the Chick-fil-A cow, those who showed up to support the Junior Class had a great time.

Class sponsors Bonnie Lyons and Sandra Draper spent the day in the suds bucket alongside of the students. “The car wash went well!” said Mrs. Lyons, who brought her husband Steve along for the day. Nate Perrie (president), Justin Lewis (treasurer), and TJ Stimson (chaplain) were “all hands on deck” throughout the day to keep the fun going. Nate Perrie said, “We [hosted the car wash] to raise the remaining needed funds for the Junior/Senior Banquet. It was pretty fun, but tiring! We raised just over $200—enough to cover the rest of our expenses for the Banquet! Thank the Lord!”

The Junior/Senior Banquet was held on April 23 at the Tampa Club in downtown Tampa, Florida.
