Women's Basketball Players Receive National Honors

Katie Mullens and Richelle Bucklin were awarded individual honors by the National Christian College Athletic Association for their performances on the basketball court during the 2009-2010 season.

Sophomore Katie Mullens was named 1st Team All-American and freshman Richelle Bucklin was named Honorable Mention All-American. These two women were part of an athletically and academically solid team. Coach Dean Williams said, “Katie has established herself as one of the best point guards to ever play at CCC. She is unselfish and just loves to play the game. Richelle Bucklin is an amazing freshman with a ton of athletic ability and a ton of will to go with it. At times this year, it seemed that if Katie wasn't making a jaw-dropping play on offense, Richelle was on defense.”
