Hale, a junior from St. Petersburg, FL, scored four goals and had one assist in this week’s action against NCCAA D2 Johnson University and NAIA rival Brewton Parker College in Georgia. Clearwater Christian was the winner in both contests by scores of 10-0 and 2-1 with Hale scoring both goals within twenty-five minutes of play in the Brewton Parker game.
Bucklin, a senior middle hitter from Royal Oak, MI, led her team to a 6-0 week. On Tuesday night against Southeastern University (NAIA), Richelle had a career high match with 21 kills averaging 7 kills per set with a .400 hitting efficiency and 2 blocks. Then, over the weekend at the South Region NCCAA start-up tournament, Richelle had 50 kills with 4.1 kills per set and a .390 hitting efficiency. She also had 5.5 blocks.
Athletic Director, Mike Touma, said, “It is great to see Richelle and Tori be honored as Student Athletes of the Week. Their hard work and effort are good examples to all Cougar athletes.”
Congratulations, Tori and Richelle!
