The Value of a CCC Degree
Dexter Hollenbach, a 2011 Exercise and Sport Science graduate, was recently accepted into a doctorate program in physical therapy at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, for the 2012 fall semester. Each year, 50 new students are accepted into the program from a pool of roughly 1,600 applicants.
“Thomas Jefferson University is located in the heart of Philadelphia and is famous for their orthopedics and university hospital,” said Dexter. “Being an ESS major at CCC was an awesome experience and it definitely prepared me for this field. In my interview at Jefferson, the head of admissions was thoroughly impressed with my resume and all the different experiences I had at CCC.”
Countless volunteer hours, internships, research proposals, and soccer mission trips were highlights of his time at CCC. Dexter credits his academic success to hard work and support from his professors at CCC. “Each [of my professors] had a vital part in my life, helping me get to where I am now. I am so thankful for all the hours they have put into Clearwater, the ESS major, and me!”
Congratulations, Dexter!
