McLanahan Named Top Intern



Senior Business Administration and Accounting major Jon McLanahan has been named one of the top interns in the country by Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. An intern with Northwestern Mutual since December, 2009, Jon has spent countless hours learning how to successfully manage the financial accounts of the company’s clients. In recent reports from the company, Jon was ranked 12 of 600 in the eastern region and was among the top 100 interns in the nation, earning him a spot in the company’s prestigious “Winter Camp,” a yearly convention to honor the nation’s top interns.

“I chose Northwestern Mutual for my internship because I am able to do the same things as the full-time representatives,” said Jon. Anticipating a financial career after graduation, he plans to become a licensed broker-dealer with the company. “My internship has solidified my career goals, allowed me to meet new people, and given me the tools to help clients accomplish their goals in life.”
