Kile Selected NCCAA Player of the Week While Breaking CCC Record
Emma Kile was named NCCAA II Volleyball Player of the Week for the third time this season for her outstanding play last week. Kile played in five matches and recorded a double-double in each one. She recorded 100 kills and 75 digs for the week. The highlight of the week came on the home court in the win against Pasco Hernando Community College. Emma scored 20 kills for the match with the final kill breaking the all-time kill career record held by Jenny Goodson (2005). With her 2364th career kill, Emma now is the number 1 career kill leader at Clearwater Christian College and still has several more matches left in her prestigious career.
According to Coach Denny, “Emma ranks up there as one of the best players ever in CCC Volleyball. She embodies what we look for in all of our volleyball players. She is a hard worker, humble, and strives to play the game in a way to bring glory to God. She has been a key for the success of our program over the past four years, and I am so pleased to see her achieve this outstanding milestone while playing for the Lady Cougars.”
Emma is a senior elementary education major and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Kile of Butler, PA.
