Student Organizations
Student clubs have been a hallmark of college life for many years. These organizations provide students with a social outlet, a means of fellowship around a common interest, an opportunity to direct one's specific passions, and a vehicle to develop leadership skills. The clubs listed below are those that are presently active at Clearwater Christian College. New ones are formed as interest rises from within the student body and formularize through a procedure set by the Office of Student Life. As you click on the organizations listed below you will discover its purpose for existence, typical activities, and past projects or events.
Alpha Chi
Alpha Chi is a well-known leadership society found in colleges across the country and Puerto Rico. According to the national website,
"Alpha Chi is a general honor society that admits students from all academic disciplines. Membership is limited to the top 10 percent
of an institution's juniors, seniors, and graduate students." Alpha Chi members pledge to uphold the purposes of Alpha Chi and to
strive to make its ideals their ideals in scholarship and service in front of the student body, faculty, and staff of CCC. Embodying
this pledge, Alpha Chi members continuously offer their tutoring services to CCC students.

Drama Club
Drama Club exists to give students an opportunity to participate in a variety of forms of drama. Generally, the Drama Club meets every
other week and sponsors at least one show each semester. The club presents a Christmas play, hosts several acting and theory workshops,
and a few "comedy sketch" and Improv nights. The original members of the CCC Improv Team have graduated and formed their own professional
group known as Strangers and Fools. They appear at local venues across the Tampa Bay area. One of the Drama Club's most memorable
performances was a mystery dinner theatre-an event that was brought back for repeat performances due to popular demand. A variety of
majors are represented in Drama Club-anyone who enjoys acting and the thrill of the stage is welcome! According to a drama
club alumnus, Ben Weaver, "Drama Club is an outlet for students who enjoy acting, but might not have time to be involved
in a school play. Our goal is to use our talents to honor Christ through acting; whether it is just during the meetings

Freshman Class
Scared, novices, wet behind the ears, and newbie's are terms typically associated with these entry level students. But this freshman class isn't sitting
around, shaking in their boots. They are moving forward and making their own mark at Clearwater Christian College. Officers include President, Colin DeHate;
Vice President, Curtis "CJ" Johnson; Secretary, Kyrene Resel; Treasurer, Lauren Murray; Chaplain, Joshua Lucas; and Song Leader, Garrett Hollenbach.

Greeks
The official purpose of the Greek Organizations is to glorify the Lord by serving our campus and our community-by hosting community, campus, and
individual club activities. But Greeks are SO much more than just that! Each Greek forms a bond between members and lifetime friends are made
through activities, meetings, and community service events. One of the most important parts of Greeks is service; for example, one of our women's
Greeks has adopted a local fire station and periodically brings joy to the fire men and women through Panera baked goodies. You never know what
you'll be a part of when you join a Greek!
Junior Class
The Junior Class is comprised of students that are almost done! They're an enjoyable group of men and women that are dedicated to both study and fun. Past
activities included a student body film festival complete with student films and classics, an ice skating and sunset picnic evening, and a trip to SAK Comedy
Lab in Orlando. Officers include President, Brandon Littlefield; Vice-President, Emma Kile; Song Leader, Wes Andrews; Chaplain Ben Burggraff; Treasurer,
Stephen Jordan; and Secretary, Melissa Mull.

Music
Music education majors enjoy the opportunity to participate in the National Association for Music Education (NAfME),
a national organization of future, current, and retired music education instructors whose goal is to provide access to quality
music instruction to every young person who desires it through qualified instructors. Each year the music club sponsors Step Back in
Time, an annual chance for students to enjoy the delights of years gone by through food, fellowship, and fun, and Unforgettable,
a school wide talent production where both the performers and their judges entertain the audience. Proceeds from both Music Club sponsored
events go toward mission trips and musical causes. The club meets a couple of times each month to re-connect and focus on how they
can help serve CCC and the Lord. Officers include President, Jillian Blackwell; President-Elect, Hannah Schmidtke; Secretary/Treasurer, Michelle Weber; and

Political Club
Among other events, the CCC Political Club actively pursues opportunities to heighten political awareness on and off of campus. Past activities include:
attendance by several members at the Republican National Convention in Tampa; campaigning for several conservative candidates in the 2012 election;
attendance at numerous Romney/Ryan political rallies in the Tampa Bay region. Officers include President Curtis Johnson; Vice-President
Kyrene Resel; and Treasurer, Conner Nicklas

Pro-Life Club
True to its name, the Pro-Life Club strives to respect human life from conception to natural death, to make the student body aware of issues
and legislation that would negatively affect the unborn, and to support efforts that promote pro-life causes consistent with the Word of God.
Current officers include President, Kyrene Resel; Vice President, Kindra Resel; Secretary/Treasurer, Sarah Cardenas

Senior Class
Seniors. The very word creates excitement in the heart of a student. Our Senior Class is ready to start the rest of their lives. They've worked hard for years and
can't wait to begin the next chapter that God has prepared for them. However, before leaving their beloved institution, these students make it their objective
to set an example and serve their fellow students to the very end. Before its final 'goodbye' to the institution, each Senior Class identifies a class gift
which they leave as a token of their years at CCC. Officers include President, Nate Perrie; Vice President, Gabrielle Marino; Secretary, Colton Jones; Treasurer,
Justin Lewis; Chaplain, TJ Stimson; and Song Leader, Joe Keen.
Sophomore Class
The old Greek derivation of the word 'wise fool' comes nowhere near the description of this second-year CCC class. Those who have survived the first-year
college experience are now enjoying refining their skills as they move forward into the more challenging years of their experience. Their goal is to help
others learn from their mistakes while moving ahead to make their impact for Christ. Current officers include President, Justin Fuller; Vice President,
Stephanie Brundage; Secretary, Jaclyn Suffi; Treasurer, Lauren McCoy; Chaplain, Anthony DeRosse; and Song Leader, Felicia Weber.

Student Government
Every good ship needs a captain, a crew, and a strong rudder. At CCC, the Student Government serves in these capacities. Officially, Student Government
exists to represent the interests of CCC students; to actively work to improve student life; and, to provide a liaison between students, faculty, and the
administration of CCC. But more importantly, the Student Government listens to the interests of each member of the CCC family and seeks to promote the
service of God, to represent the concerns of student life, and to fully support the educational, social, and spiritual growth of the student body. Each
office is elected by the student body and each representative is held accountable to his or her peers. Student Government is an exciting organization-when
you come, maybe you can run for a special office! Current officers include President, Elliot Eggert; Vice President, Josh Rebrant; Secretary/Treasurer, Emma

The reason I chose to come to CCC was that it is a Christian college that offered an accredited education that was grounded in a Biblical foundation. It is located on a beautiful campus and is full of teachers and faculty who really care and want to get to know you and let you know they care about more than just your grades in their class. The student body desires to glorify God in how they live. When I graduate, I hope to take away many strong friendships and a more mature view of myself and my God based upon my experience at CCC.
