Monday is the busiest day of the week for me, but somehow it always ends up being the most fun. Our chapels on Mondays are usually led by the student body officers. This Monday we were able to sing a couple songs that I thought really captured the essence of God. My favorite song we sang was called "Indescribable," and I hummed the words in my head the rest of the day. After that a former student came onto the stage and gave us a challenge out of 2 Samuel. Sometimes it's the people who have been right where you are sitting that can touch you the most. He spoke on the effects of sin and how just thinking about sins can turn into action. I know it was a great challenge to the entire student body.
On Mondays, I also scheduled a majority of my classes, so I have to sit in class all day long. For most people this would bother them, but I love all my classes and really I enjoy going to class.
Right after my day long of classes, I go to basketball practice. During our practice, a girl on our team hurt her ankle which is weird because a guy on the boy's team did the same thing during their practice. Hopefully neither of the players are hurt badly, especially with our regional tournament starting on February 28th.
The community will give students at Clearwater certain discounts, because we are in college. My favorite example of this is the Cold Stone ice cream discount. On Monday night, we can go to Cold Stone and get a buy one get one free on a love it or gotta have it size ice cream. I went to Cold Stone this Monday with several girls from my volleyball team, and we ended up having so much fun. We went and had our ice cream, took tons of pictures, and threw pennies in the fountain. It was the perfect end to a perfect Monday.

This weekend I got to travel up north on the Lady Cougar's basketball team where we got to play three big conference games in a row, two in Georgia and one in North Carolina. We played our first game on Thursday against Piedmont Christian College. Although we did not play up to our potential, we easily beat Piedmont with the score of 66 to 35.
A great part about this trip is that the both teams get to drive together and support the others as they play.
Unfortunately the men's cougar basketball team lost a hard fought game to Piedmont by two points.
The time was enjoyable in North Carolina, but we were freezing in the 30 degree weather. In order to stay warm on pit stops, some of us girls would do the hokey pokey just to stay warm. This worked very effectively. Although, we may have been warmer if we wore closed toe shoes instead of our flip-flops. I guess you can say we were all true Florida girls.
Our second game on Friday turned out to be just as successful as the first. A week earlier we had lost to Toccoa Falls College by nine points. Needless to say, most of the basketball girls were very excited about the rematch. We came out to an early lead and held it until the end of the game defeating Toccoa 58-52.
Our third game was on Saturday morning against Atlanta Christian. We were very excited about this game especially after hearing that they had beaten our rival, Southeastern, the night before. We came out strong and once again came out with a victory beating Atlanta by a strong thirteen points. All three games were great wins for our program, but more importantly God kept both our men's and women's vehicle out of harms way on the trip. The experience of spending four days with great Christian teammates is the experience that I will remember the most about the trip. God blessed our Lady Cougar's basketball team with not only a lot of athletic talent, but also girls who love the Lord.
