Women's Soccer Season Outlook (2011-2012) Defense is the buzzword surrounding the 2011 version of the Clearwater Christian College women's soccer team. Senior goalkeeper, Ahna Boley will play her second full season in the goal giving the team some much needed leadership in the back. Juniors, Lydia Twigg and Samantha Tierney, along with sophomore Whitney Redemann also bring some much needed experience to the defensive side of the ball. Midfielders Katherine Helder, Katie Mills, and Abigail Marino all bring some experience to the table and will help provide toughness in the middle of the field. Wingers, Casey Franklin, Amani Morcos, and Madeline Tewes will look to build off of their first season of college soccer, and will test opposing teams with their speed and tenacity. The team will focus on building off of the foundation laid over the past several years and strive to get better during every practice and every game throughout the season.
Our first goal of the year is to bring glory to God through the opportunity of athletic competition. We will strive to achieve the highest level of play possible with the goal of winning the South region championship. | | Quick Links Home News Recognitions Recruiting Questionnaire Schedules and Scores Season Outlook Season Review Summer Camp Team Coaches Team Photos Team Roster Team Statistics

I look back on my first year as a college athlete and thank the Lord for the privilege to be part of something bigger than myself. To be a member of a soccer team gives you the opportunity to bond with other Christian girls and strive for the same goals on and off the field. Fellow athletes give you a reason to keep playing your best even in the most difficult games. more...It's a good parallel to the cause of Christ and the resources He gives us in our challenges during this earthly race. Like our fellow Christians, we are all pursuing the same goal--to glorify Christ in all we do. Playing college soccer has been challenging, but the rewards are so evident and to be part of something that you could never achieve on your own is a privilege that I hope many others come to enjoy in their college experience. |
