Cougar Volleyball Camps

Team Camps

The team camps scheduled for July 15-19, 2012 and July 22-26, 2012 are designed for junior varsity and varsity level of play and provide an opportunity for teams to prepare for their upcoming season. Individual players who are juniors or seniors also may attend. Morning instruction will be followed by afternoon team practices and evening competitions. A morning Bible Study will be held each day.

To secure a team slot, a minimum of seven campers is required.

Arrival and Departure

Check-In is Sunday afternoon between 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Departure time is Thursday at 1:00 p.m.

Camp Supplies

Please mark all personal items. Overnight team campers should bring a sleeping bag, pillow, washcloths, and towels, practice clothes, shoes, and a Bible. Please bring one pair of longer shorts or warm-up pants for meals in the dining hall. BRING A WATER BOTTLE.

Please do not bring TV, MP3 players, headphones, excessive amounts of cash, tank tops, spandex or "short" shorts.

Camp Director

Dr. Vickie Grooms Denny has directed volleyball camps for over twenty-five years. She has had much success at Clearwater Christian College, leading the Lady Cougars to 19 regional and 11 national championships. In addition, Coach Denny has been selected as NCCAA Division II Coach of the Year at the regional and national levels. She has earned her CAP Level I, II, and III coaching accreditation through the United States Volleyball Association and is also the past National Chairperson for NCCAA Division II Volleyball. In 2005, she was inducted into the NCCAA Hall of Fame, and currently serves as the President of the NCCAA.

A Christian camp environment
Individual instruction from qualified staff
Emphasis on fundamentals in competitive and game-like drills
Team practices and games
Coaches bringing eight or more players attend free. Additional coaches pay $120.

$250 per player if postmarked by June 1
$300 per player if postmarked after June 1

Cougar Spotlight

God has given me the opportunity to play both basketball and volleyball here at CCC, and I am so thankful! The girls I've had the privilege to play sports with are my closest friends. Every day before practice, we share prayer requests, praises, or a passage from God's Word. It's awesome being challenged by my own teammates to grow more Christ-like through playing basketball and volleyball. I will never forget the memories I've made and the blessings I've received while playing sports.
