Scoreless Tie Against Montreat

(10/15/10) The women's soccer team played host to Montreat University on Friday. The game went back and forth throughout the match, but even after two overtime periods, neither team was able to score.

Katherine Helder made 7 saves in goal for Clearwater to earn her fourth shutout in the last five games. Junior Katie Mills played her best game of the season, creating a few quality scoring chances from her outside midfield position. Senior Anna Lufkin started in the defense for the first time this year and was the major reason Montreat was held scoreless.

The 0-0 tie is the Cougars second tie of the season.
