Cougars Drop First Game of Double Header to Northwood

(2/6/10) Clearwater, FL- The Cougars hosted Northwood in a double header on Saturday. Junior Josh Rebandt was on the hill for the Cougars and looked to give CCC a strong outing against a high powered Northwood offense. The Seahawks however showed great plate patience against Rebandt, who exited early in the first inning, walking his first 5 batters, giving up 2 runs and recording no outs. Freshman Josh Williams came in to relieve Rebandt and worked out of a bases loaded jam. Williams pitched 4 innings of relief giving up 4 runs, 2 of them earned. Senior Catcher Phillip Roscoe had 2 of the Cougars 3 hits in the game, the other by DH Albert Ulloa, who also added an RBI. The early Seahawk scoring was too much for the Cougars as they fell by a score of 13-3.
