Cougars Trip Up Southeastern Bible


(1/29/10) Clearwater, FL- The Clearwater Christian men’s team had another close game on Friday night, winning 76-73 as they hosted region rival Southeastern Bible College from Birmingham, Alabama. After getting off to a quick start, the Cougars were stalled by Southeastern’s zone defense and sputtered into the half with a 33-30 lead.

The game went back and forth in the second half with Southeastern’s Daniel Hudson hitting frequently from the three point line. As the Cougars seemed to pull ahead with a comfortable lead, Hudson would go to work again. The game came down to the final possession and the Saber’s Hudson missed on one final three point attempt as time expired.

Hudson was the game’s leading scorer with 35 points. Lonzo Saunders led the Cougars with a season high 26 points and 10 rebounds. Troy Hadlock came off the bench with 10 points for CCC. The victory brought the Cougars season record to 7-9.
