With the score tied at 22, about eight minutes into the game, the Cougars broke loose for 36 points in the remainder of the half to take a 58-37 lead into the half-time break. The Cougars were able to empty the bench in the second half as they picked up their first victory of the season. Lonzo Saunders and George Youstra led CCC with 15 points each. Bryan Copeland had 14 points, Todd Wahlberg 11, and Terrance Fisher added 10 for the Cougars. Wahlberg added 7 rebounds coming off of the bench and Matt Wells contributed 4 assists for victors.
