Cougars Extend Win Streak to 7

(9/10/2009) Going up against their toughest competition so far this season, the Lady Cougars were tested early as they dropped their first set of the match against Florida College of Temple Terrace.

Without senior setter Ashley Lawson (due to illness), Coach Denny worked a couple different line ups to see what would be effective against a very tall and athletic Florida Falcon team. Eventually, she settled on a 5-1 offense using junior transfer Elisabeth Ennis as the lone setter. The move paid off, and the Cougars got into their offensive rhythm.

The middle hitters Alyssa Hallice and Emma Kile came up big both offensively and defensively with over 3 kills and 2 blocks per game respectively. Senior Chrissie Sugimoto also led the team with over five digs per game.
