Series Finale With TTU Washed After Four Innings

Clearwater hosted Tennessee Temple University for game three of the weekend on Saturday morning at Jack Russell Stadium for four innings before rain storms swept through the area and cancelled the game.

The Cougars took a 4-0 lead into the top of the fifth, needing just three outs before the game could be marked official. Just before the first pitch of the inning was thrown, lightning struck and the storms came in.

No stats will be kept on record from today's game and the Cougars remain at 11-16 on the season.

Clearwater will be on the road Tuesday for a day and night doubleheader against NCCAA South Region opponent Southeastern University at Ted A. Broer Stadium. Game one of the twin bill is scheduled for 5:00pm and the night cap will follow afterwards.

NOTES: Today's rain out is the seventh this season...Cougars are 1-2 in games following a rain out this season...Clearwater played five games last year at Ted A. Broer Stadium...Tuesday's doubleheader will be the second time the Cougars play a midweek twin bill this season, sweeping the previous Tuesday DH back on March 4th.
