The Cougars win in their return home.

The Cougars were glad to be home after playing on the road for the 6 games. And the home court and crowd were welcome sights. The game started as a back and forth a fair with the Suns from Johnson University staying with the Cougars. The score stayed in a single digit advantage through most of the first half, but the Cougars were able to get some separation and went into the break with a 43-33 lead. Clearwater Christian game out in the second half with a renewed commitment on the defensive end of the court. That commitment helped hold Johnson to only 31% shooting, while giving the Cougars easy baskets. Finishing the game on top 89-71.
The team effort was obvious in the scoring column with the Cougars having all five starters in double figures. Mike Key led all scorers with 22, Eddie Moralobo 16, Devin Paularinne 15, Colin DeHate 12 and Erik McRae 11. Paularinne was the top rebounder with 8, while Caleb Thompson added 6 boards. Key and McRae had 8 and 5 assists respectively.
