The Cougars win on the road.

The Cougars traveled to Winston-Salem to take on The Bruins from Piedmont International University. This was Clearwater's first of 3 games in three nights. The first half was a struggle for the Cougars both offensively, scoring only 33 points, and defensively giving up 46. Each time the Cougars made a small run the Bruins would answer, and Clearwater could not close the gap. The Cougars went into halftime down 13. The first part of the second half was similar to the first with the Cougars narrowing the margin to 6, but Piedmont took it back to 16. With 15 minutes to go Clearwater was down 11, but 5 minutes later the lead was down to 5, and with 5 to go the Cougars had a 3 point advantage. The last 5 minutes was very exciting basketball with neither team giving up. The Cougars went 7-7 from the line and the regulation horn went off with the score tied at 83. The overtime period saw the Cougars Mike Key and Erik McRae combine for 8-10 from the line and big buckets by Colin DeHate and Eddie Moralobo sealed the win.
