Clearwater drops high scoring affair to Pasco Hernando

The Cougars traveled just north to take on Pasco-Hernando playing for the first time as Pasco-Hernando State College. The points came early and often for both teams, with Clearwater having a 56-48 advantage at halftime. The second half saw the Cougars struggle on both ends of the court, scoring only 41 points while giving up 60. The Cougars will head north for 3 games, 2 of them in the South region and the third will be a rematch with Bob Jones.
Clearwater had another balanced scoring attack with 5 players in double figures lead by Mike Key with his second straight 26 point game. He was followed by Tristan Shore with 19, Colin Dehate 16, Eddie Moralobo 15, and Erik McRae 12. Shore and DeHate had 12 and 11 rebounds respectively, while Erik McRae contributed 8 assists.
