Cougars will have the opportunity to defend its 2012 National Championship Title with South Region Championship 2-1 win over Bob Jones University.

The Cougars two leading scorers were able to each put a goal away to secure a 2nd consecutive South Region Championship. The win was against a tough Bob Jones University squad that came in with a five game winning streak. Tori Hale and Leah Zweirs scored in the first half while goalie Charity Nelson produced a scoreless second half. Even though the Clearwater Cougars dominated the possession of the game, the Bruins were able to counter attack and make several offensive pushes that scored a first half goal and made several good opportunities in the second. Goalie Charity Nelson was up to the task making 7 saves on 8 shots on goal. The Cougars offense was very active getting 14 shots and hitting the post twice and crossbar once in the second half without scoring. The Cougars now wait for the final seeding of the National Tournament that will be held at Austin-Tindall Park in Kissimmee, Fl on Nov. 13-16.
