Cougars Crowned South Regional Champions

The Lady Cougars entered the final championship match against Pensacola Christian College. In this third match up of the year between the two schools, the Eagles battled hard but came up short. The Cougars fought back in the third set being behind 18-21 to outscore PCC 7-2 and win the set and championship match.
On the offensive side of the net Dana Medich again led all hitters with 13 kills followed by Emily Mayer and Emily Osborne, both with 9 kills. Cassie Foster led the offensive attack with her 28 assists, but also contributed 17 digs. Christen Johnson led with 19 digs while Medich recorded another double/double for the season with 13 digs.
With the win, the Cougars secure a spot in the NCCAA National Championship Tournament, November 14-16 held in Lincoln, Illinois.
