Cougars Baseball Enters NCCAA DII College World Series as the #4 Seed

The Clearwater baseball team received an at-large bid to the NCCAA DII College World Series and is slated as the four-seed entering the tournament. This marks the second time in three seasons that the Cougars have made it to the national tournament. In 2011, Clearwater lost in the national championship game to Toccoa Falls College 3-0.

The baseball team will open up World Series play on Wednesday afternoon at 1:00pm against Arlington Baptist College at Legacy Field. The Patriots won the Southwest region to advance to the World Series.

Heading into the tournament, head coach Josh Rebandt said, "We are grateful to be one of the last eight teams. We match up well with the teams that will be there and our guys are ready."

The World Series is held in Mason, Ohio at Prasco Park from May 8-11. The tournament will utilize both Prasco Park and Legacy Field, which are both located at 6125 Commerce Court, Mason, OH 45040. There will be free admission for all games.
