The Cougars break out of scoring slump, but still come up short.

Clearwater traveled to Kissimmee for their last Regional game before the tournament. After two straight games shooting below 30% from the field the Cougars scored 80 points on 29/61 shooting. Unfortunately Florida Christian shot just enough better to secure the win.
The Cougars were down 8 at the 8 minute mark in the first half and went on a 10-2 run over the next 3 minutes to tie the game at 30. However Florida Christian came right back with an 8-0 run of their own and finished the half up 9.
The second half started off slow with both teams only scoring 4 points in the first 4 minutes of the half. FCC biggest lead was 17, but Clearwater cut the deficit to 8 with less than 3 to play, but could not maintain the momentum.

The Cougars had very balanced scoring with 5 players in double figures. Jonah Dew led with 15 points, followed by Devin Paularrine with 14. Austin Swierenga came off the bench to contribute 11. While Erik McRae and Brian Horrach each had 10. Jonah was tops on the boards with 8, while Brian added 7. Erik McRae had 6 assists.
