Falcons beat Lady Cougars for Third Time

Before the game, Tiffany Pack and Alyssa Zallie, the teams seniors, were honored for their commitment to CCC basketball over the last four years including last year's best-ever 4th place finish at the National Tournament.

As the game started, the Lady Cougars got out to their first early lead in a long time when Tiffany Pack scored a 3-point basket to make it 3-0. The Lady Cougars would trade baskets until the Falcons grabbed control of the lead 7-8 and never looked back. Once again, the Lady Cougars struggled to shoot the ball well, and at the half, the score was 17-32.

In the second half, the Lady Cougars' shooting woes would not improve as they shot 14-71 from the field. The final score was 37-62 in favor of the Falcons.

Of the game, Coach Wilson says, "The lid has to come off the basket at some point. We must have had twenty or more shots go down and come back out. For the most part, I thought we played well defensively. We held a very good three-point shooting team to 2-11 from behind the arc. We just couldn't respond with points on our end."

The Lady Cougars had a late addition to the schedule and will now play Pensacola Christian College on Saturday, February 16 at 5:00 PM at home.
