Lady Cougars Drop Another One

After a disappointing performance on Thursday night, the Lady Cougars looked to bounce back against the Crusaders of Tennessee Temple University on Friday.

While the Lady Cougars played with more poise and demonstrated a more assertive approach to the game, the Lady Crusaders grabbed control of the game early and maintained a lead throughout the game. The Lady Cougars did hold a 3-2 lead after Tiffany Pack's three-point basket early in the half, but Tennessee Temple would answer and hold the lead for the remainder of the game. At halftime, the score was 41-25.

In the second half, the Lady Cougars tried to speed up the tempo and create points off of turnovers, but the Lady Crusaders would take care of the basketball and cruise to the 85-62 win.

Coach Wilson had this to say about the game, "Despite the score, I was pleased with the effort that we played with today. I felt like we had a much better demeanor about how we played and handled much of the adversity that we faced. Tennessee Temple is a very good team. This game is another stepping stone in our development as a team and a program."

On the night, Tori Hale led all scores with 23 points and Tiffany Pack added 13. Hali Reynolds also had a good game - shooting 3 for 4 from behind the arc for 10 points. The Lady Cougars will get a much-needed break before facing the Bruins of Piedmont International University on Thursday, January 24 for an NCCAA II South Region matchup.
