Clearwater Downs Pasco


The Cougars went on the road Tuesday to take on Pasco-Hernando Community College. Clearwater had a great start to the first half and led for the majority of the half, but the last five minutes saw Pasco take control, and the Cougars went into the break with a 37-42 deficit. Pasco started the second half where they left off in the first and ran the margin to 14 early in the second half. The Cougars settled down and began their comeback eventually tying the game at 67. Clearwater ran the lead up to 8 before finishing the game with a 85-81 win.

The Cougars were led in scoring by Grant Touma's 20 points; Grant was 4-5 from the three point line. Tristan Shore added 18 all in the second half including 6-6 from the free throw line. Devin Paularrine, Brian Horrach, and Erik McRae all scored in double figures. Shore also was the leading rebounder with 14; Devin and Colin DeHate added 8 and 7 respectfully on the boards. Erik McRae dished out 9 assists. The Cougars will be on the road again on Friday as they travel to Temple Terrace to take on Florida College. Game time is 5:00 p.m.
