Cougars Lose on the Road

In the Cougars final game before the Thanksgiving break they traveled to take on Ave Maria in a Saturday afternoon match-up. The first half saw Clearwater play a much better first twenty minutes than the previous few games. The Cougars kept the game within 7 for a good deal of the first half, but let the lead slip before the break, and the halftime score saw Clearwater down 32-46. As is the mark of this 2012-13 team, the Cougars made a run in the second half and brought the deficit back into single digits late, but could not sustain the momentum and dropped their third game in a row by the score of 68-84.

The Cougars are off until November 30 when they take on South Region opponent Toccoa Falls.

The Cougars were led in scoring by Tristan Shores 22, followed by Grant Touma with 12 and Brian Horrach with 10. The rebounding was balanced with Devin Paularinne, Tristan and Grant all contributing 5 rebounds. Erik McRae continued his distribution of the ball with 6 assists.
