Cougars Win!

In the first of two games in Knoxville, the Cougars met Johnson University on Thursday night. The first half saw Johnson take control behind some great outside shooting. Clearwater stayed close but could not gain an advantage and went into halftime with a 39-42 deficit. The second half was a different story and even though Johnson kept the game close the Cougars broke out on the offensive end of the court and put up 64 points leading to a 103-90 victory. Clearwater will play against Crown College tonight at 7:00 p.m.

The Cougars were led in scoring by Grant Touma's 26, and he also added 7 assists. Tristan Shore continued his scoring for the Cougars with 25 points of his own, and he also contributed 8 rebounds. One of the best stat lines of the night belonged to Erik McRae who had 11 assists, 9 points, and 8 rebounds. Devin Paularrine and Colin DeHate each had scoring contributions with 16 and 11 respectively. Brian Horrach chipped in 8 points to go along with 5 rebounds.
