Cougars Finish with Big Win Over Warriors

The CCC Volleyball Team finished out their regular season by defeating Webber International University, 25-23; 23-25; 25-21; 25-22. The team was led by Richelle Bucklin scoring another double/double with 25 kills and 13 digs. Senior Amanda Ison led the team in passing and contributed 15 digs, while Dana Medich served 24/24 with 2 aces and 26 digs. Kim Ponce ran the offensive attack and finished with 41 assists for the match.

According to Coach Denny, "this is a great way for us to go into our national tournament. Webber is a very talented team and to be able to come away tonight with a win is good for us. I am especially pleased with how the team played defense. We had some incredible digs to keep the ball alive and eventually wore down the strong offensive attack of Webber."

With this victory, the Cougars are now 35-6 as they head into NCCAA national tournament play starting next Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Kissimmee Civic Center.
