Florida College 5, Clearwater 1

(10/1/2012) The Cougars traveled across town to play Florida College in a rescheduled match. The Falcons came out fast in a very physical and controversial first half of a match which Clearwater had three substitutes available. CCC gave up two early goals, but were able to get one back on a Drew Custer penalty kick late in the first half. Brian Edman was brought down in the box by the last defender to earn the penalty, but the referee issued no card at all. The score going to half was 2-1.

Things unraveled quickly in the second half for the Cougars as they conceded three more goals. Clearwater falls to .500 on the season again with a record of 5-5. They will be in action again in their second region match with Toccoa Falls on October 4 at 7:00 p.m.
