Women's Soccer Win South Region Opener

The Clearwater Christian College women’s soccer team continued its winning ways on Tuesday when they traveled to Austin Tindall park in Kissimmee, FL to take on south region opponent Florida Christian College.

Eight different Lady Cougars scored goals in the rout. Senior Defender, Lydia Twigg scored her first ever collegiate goal with her second half goal from the penalty spot. Freshman, Brooke Buffaloe played all 90 minutes in goal for Clearwater and made several key saves but ultimately conceded a goal to Florida Christian on a penalty kick.

The Lady Cougars are off to the best start in program history with a 6-0 record. Through the first six games the team is averaging .67 goals against per game, which is also best in program history.

The team will return to action on Friday, September 14 when they host Judson College at Glen Oaks Park at 6:30 p.m.
