Lady Cougars Defeat Toccoa Falls College in Region Semi-final

The women's soccer team faced off against Toccoa Falls College for the third time this season in the South Region semi-final on Thursday. After beating TFC in both of the previous games, the team knew this would be a tough match against a determined opponent.

The Lady Cougars were able to get on the board quickly when Rebecca Farrell scored off a pass from Rachel Mauer just four minutes into the game. It wasn't long before Amani Morcos scored her first goal of the season to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead. Denae Martin was able to get TFC on the scoreboard when she tallied for the Eagles just before half-time. The Lady Cougars played well defensively in the second half and were able to make the 2-1 half-time lead stand for the entire second half.

The Lady Cougars will host Point University at home on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in the South Region Championship game. The teams split the regular season series, with each team winning on the road.
